Colourants can be added to glazes to get the desired coloured effects. Unlike stains, colourants react differently in each firing. A wide spectrum of colours can be achieved by mixing them with other colourants, opacifiers & stains.

Additional Information: Yellow Ochre is a rich warm yellow derived from natural clay earth pigment. Used in ceramic glazes, this oxide creates yellow to light brown hues. Use of the colorant in glaze versus stain can yield excellent transparency and translucency.
Caution: In its powdered form, Chrome Yellow Ochre is harmful if swallowed and a potential skin and respiratory tract irritant. Please use protective coverings when handling this substance.
