Polysorbate 80 (Cosmetic Grade) is an emulsifier used in the production of cosmetics. It helps to promote the even distribution of ingredients without forming large clumps, allowing for smoother and more consistent products. It is commonly used in lotions, creams, and ointments.
Polysorbate 80 is a fragrance solubilizer and stabilizer; it lubricates and has a soothing effect on the skin.
Note: Crystallization may occur due to presence of fatty substances. In that case it is recommended to warm the liquid before usage.
Solubility: Soluble in water & oil
Recommended Usage: Upto 2% in cosmetic formulations
Usage Instructions:
- Prepare the oil and water phases of your formulation separately.
- Add to the heated oil phase and stir and dissolve it completely.
- Once it cools down to room temperature add water.
- Keep mixing constantly until an emulsion forms.
