Recommended Usage Rate: 1% to 10% in cosmetic formulations.
Formulation Guidelines:
Add Coco Betaine to the water phase, and it can be gently heated if necessary, usually below 40°C. Performs best in formulations with a pH of 5-7. Adjust pH as needed to optimize foam and stability. Blend it after adding other surfactants to create a stable, foamy texture suitable for cleansers and shampoos. Works well with other surfactants (anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric), so it’s often combined with sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium lauryl ether sulfate to reduce irritation.
