Montanov 68 is a non-ionic, BDIH and Ecocert-comfort O/W emulsifier based on Cetearyl alcohol, i.e. a mixture of Cetyl and Cetearyl alcohol and Cetearyl Glucoside. It is not irritating, non-comedogenic and self-emulsifying. According to the manufacturer, there is no need for further stabilizers such as Gelling or fatty alcohol. Based on our experience, we recommend using a pinch of xanthan transparently. This emulsifier prefers high-revving stirring, for example, with a hand blender.
Montanov 68 forms a so-called liquid crystalline system, it stores water in a deposit that later will be released into the Skin.

Applications:
Mild and natural emulsifier used for cosmetic production of creams, milks, shampoos, conditioners and hair masks, etc.
Recommended Usage Rate: 1%-5% in cosmetic formulations
Formulation Guidelines:
To make a lotion with Montanov 68, heat the emulsifier in a separate container with the oil phase to 75°C (168°F). Pour the heated water phase into the heated oil phase and mix with a stick blender until the emulsion forms. Switch to a low-shear mixer like a hand mixer or hand whisk once the emulsion forms. Add any cool-down phase ingredients at 40°C (104°F). Stable between pH 3-12
Storage: Store in an air-tight glass container in a cool, dry place.
Caution: This is a cosmetic-grade product. Not suitable for internal consumption. This product is not recommended for direct skin application. It needs to be added to formulations in the prescribed percentage (as above). Batch Production Testing and Patch skin Testing of the end products are recommended for all formulations before mass production/application/usage.
